By Plane
Flights from Lufthansa and related airlines arrive at Munich „Franz-Josef-Strauß“ airport at terminal 2. All other airlines arrive at terminal 1. In the middle of the two terminals you will find the S-Bahn train station (just follow the signs ). Please keep in mind that travelling from the airport to the city center usually takes around 55 minutes…
Take the S-Bahn line S1 (light blue) into the direction „Leuchtenbergring“. 14 stops will take you to Munich central Station, which is located in the city center.
By Train
To reach the venue in Schloss Nymphenburg you must proceed to the northern part of the central station and take Tram Nr. 17 (Direction: Amalienburgstraße). After 11 stops this train arrives directly in front of the castle.
By Cab
Cabs can also be found at the northern side of the central station. The ride should not take much longer than 20 minutes, even in the famous Munich traffic.
By Car
In the direct vicinity of the venue parking space is extremely limited. We do not recommend visiting the EnMAP-Workshop by car.
Getting to the tutorials and EnSAG-Meeting on Friday
The walk from Munich central station to the LMU Dept. of Geography takes about 13 minutes. Just exit the station in a northerly direction and follow the Luisenstraße until you arrive at number 37:
If you have luggage to carry you may prefer taking the subway line U2 into the direction „Feldmoching“ for one stop until you arrive at „Königsplatz“ station.
