Lunch as well as coffee will be served on Wednesday and Thursday as part of the funding by the Carl Friedrich von Siemens Foundation. Icebreaker on Wednesday and conference dinner on Thursday will be served as part of the EnMAP PI project funding supported by the DLR/BMWK.

After returning from the field-trip on Thursday (03.04.2025) the buses will drop us off at the location of the conference dinner:

Field Trip

On Thursday afternoon (03.04.2025) we will leave for a field trip to Oberpfaffenhofen. Two buses will pick us up directly in front of the workshop venue. You can choose one of two options:

      • A) Bus one will be heading to DLR
      • B) Bus two will take us to OHB

Please note that we will have to go through security checks in the course of the field trips, so please make sure to bring a valid ID.

Field Trip Program at DLR

15:45-16:00: Arrival at DLR

16:00-17:00: Visit of German Space Operations Centre (GSOC), the German mission control center in national and international spaceflights incl. operation of scientific satellites such as EnMAP and others.

17:00-18:00: Visit of Earth Observation Center (EOC):

    • 17:00-18:00: Meet the Ground Segment at EnMAP Model + Posters + Refreshments
    • 17:15-17:35 and 17:35-17:55: Tour of Calibration Home Base (CHB, optional for those who are interested)
    • 17:15-17:35 and 17:35-17:55: Tour of German satellite data archive (D-SDA) + Demo of SpatioTemporal Asset Catalog (STAC, optional for those who are interested)
