Description: Altolamprologus calvus "Ink Fin" are known for their deep black coloration on the body and fins, with their white spotted patterning. This is an African cichlid native to Lake Tanganyika, and it needs a pH of at least 8.2. These guys only get to about 5 inches when fully grown, but they tend to do well with larger African Cichlids (such as Mbunas and Peacocks), as well as other Tanganyikan Cichlids. When mixing the Altolamp. calvus "Ink Fin" with more aggressive cichlids, such as Mbunas and Peacocks, the Altolamp. calvus should be a bigger size than the other, more aggressive cichlids.
